Empowering adults with autism to realize their full potential and live as productive members of their communities.

As individuals with autism mature into adulthood, public resources for this population virtually disappear. While funding that provides intensive, school-based learning and socialization fall away at age 21, continued access to quality programming is critical.

That’s where REED Next comes in.

The REED Next Adult Day Program continues where school-based resources leave off—supporting individuals with autism ages 21 and older.

Filling Critical Gaps

Our goal is to help each REED Next participant cultivate beneficial personal connections, enjoy an active, engaged lifestyle, and live as valued and respected members of their community.

An approved provider by the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities, clients in our program participate in various activities designed to strengthen their skills and create ongoing learning opportunities. Grounded in the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA), our comprehensive full-day program includes:

  • Pre-vocational and vocational training
  • Supported employment
  • Community integration
  • Daily living and safety skills development
  • Leisure and recreational activities
  • Peer mentoring

As with all REED programming, parents and families are instrumental to our integrated approach. Our highly trained, dedicated staff collaborate with clients, parents, and caregivers to address each participant’s individual needs, abilities, and interests.

For applicants to be considered for our Day and or Residential programs you must complete the REED Next Admission Application. It is an electronic document which should be downloaded, completed and submitted to [email protected]. On page 16 of the application there is a list of required documents you also need to submit for your application to be considered complete. The additional documentation should be scanned to [email protected].
